Design Tech Homes is the only custom home builder in the nation to be honored with awards for two consecutive years by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In 2011, we were named the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year, and this year we’ve earned the ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence.
The annual EPA awards are given to a variety of organizations in recognition of their commitment to improve energy efficiency and reduce pollution, resulting in significant cost savings. Only 109 award winners were selected from among 20,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program each year. Design Tech Homes is only one of 15 companies, and the only custom home builder in the nation, to receive the 2012 Excellence award.
Award recipients were recognized at an awards ceremony held in Washington, D.C. on March 15th, which also marked the 20th anniversary of the ENERGY STAR program.
"Design Tech Homes truly demonstrates how the leadership and commitment from EPA’s partners has made a difference in the lives of Americans, saving them billions of dollars in energy costs and improving the health of our families, the planet and our future," said EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson.
