The upcoming month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and MainStreet America, where all of the showcase homes constructed by Design Tech Homes are located, has gone all out for the effort. The 44,000-square-foot building of MainStreet America’s Business Center has been painted pink. This is the launch of its #PinkStreet campaign that will continue throughout the month.

Inside of the Business Center there will be a #PinkStreet Honor Wall where members and non-members can post a ribbon in honor of someone fighting against or has fallen to the disease. The ribbons can be posted by donating to the cause. There is also a “selfie stage” located in the parking lot where individuals can take a selfie in front of the pink building. The photo must be posted to social media with the hashtag #PinkStreet and MainStreet America will donate $1 to breast cancer awareness and research.
When you see your construction managers on the sites of Design Tech Homes’ projects, they may stand out. Each manager will be wearing pink Design Tech Homes caps to show their support for #PinkStreet and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
If you want to get involved, come take a photo on the “selfie stage”, post a ribbon on the #PinkStreet Honor Wall, or purchase a #PinkStreet T-shirt. Also, MainStreet America will be hosting Pink Out Weekend on Oct. 18 and 19, encouraging everyone to show up in pink. Those who do, gain free access to the MainStreet America Park. There will also be a silent auction from Oct. 1 to Oct 30. Those who are the highest bidders on the items can pick up their purchase on Oct. 31. Those proceeds will also go toward breast cancer awareness and research.
Come show your support for a great cause and remember to use the hashtag #PinkStreet for the month of October.
