1. Can you help me find land?

2. Can I use my own plans?

Yes. Design Tech Homes is a true custom home builder. If you are looking to build a house in Houston, or other coverage area, with existing floor plans, we are happy to price your own plans or help you develop your ideas to make your vision a reality. Please contact us for a free one-hour Design Consultation in person or via telephone. Design Tech Homes can also modify any of our in-house floor plans to suit your needs.

3. How much does a Design Tech Home cost?

Because we are a true custom home builder, the cost depends on your unique floor plan design and feature specifications. Design Tech Homes offers a free, one-hour professional Design Consultation that will enable us to provide you with an estimated cost to build your custom home design.

4. How can I obtain information on choosing the best home site? And what are some of the lot related costs?

Design Tech Homes offers Homesite Evaluation services. Utilizing assistance from our knowledgeable site managers, we will assess your lot to determine the best fit for the home’s location and provide additional pre-construction support.

5. Are you a “green” builder?

Yes. Not only do we meet the requirements of both the Houston and San Antonio building associations, every Design Tech home is built with a balanced, cost-effective approach to green building. Our three-pronged approach includes eco-friendly construction, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality.

6. How can I know that my home will be truly energy efficient?

Design Tech Homes always meets or exceeds industry standards with their homes. Every single home is ENERGY STAR® certified for comfort and energy savings. The most hailed energy efficiency program in the nation, ENERGY STAR is a voluntary national program developed by the U.S. Department of Energy. Design Tech Homes requires independent inspectors to evaluate each component of the home, such as windows, insulation, orientation, heating, air conditioning, and structural integrity.

7. What assurances will I have that my home is built with quality and integrity?

Owners Barbara and Mike Feigin stand behind each and every home that is built. Many programs and procedures are in place to provide our Homebuyers with peace of mind. First, all Design Tech homes are third-party inspected and certified at 10 critical stages of construction under the GUARDIAN CERTIFIED INSPECTION PROGRAMTM. Also, other homebuilders offer a standard 10-year limited Structural Warranty, but we have so much confidence in our product that we offer a 20-year limited Structural Warranty.

8. What type of financing do you offer?

Homebuyers can count on the expert assistance from our in-house mortgage professionals in educating them on the different construction/permanent loan options. Our finance partner, Colonial National Mortgage, has a wide range of loan resources available and will help you select the best loan program that is just right for your family.

9. Is this a good time to build a new home?
