Hear It From Our Homeowners

We have had several turn key homes built over the years with nothing but headaches, the builder telling us we can't do that, etc... When I was referred to DTH and we attended Mike's seminar on building your custom home, we knew that we found the builder for our last home. The entire team at DTH are true professionals and made this process fun and unforgettable. From sales, to design, to build, the team we worked with loved their job and that is hard to find these days. I felt that we made some friendships along the way too. We love our house and have no regrets with any of our choices. If you are looking to build, this is your team. You will be happy you did!

I been in the Real Estate business in Montgomery and surrounding Counties for over 47 years and have seen dozens of builders come and go. I’ve been working with Mike and the Design Tech Homes team for over 25 years now, and it’s been one of the most consistent partnerships I’ve had in this business. In every build-on-your-lot community I’ve sold land in, Design Tech has built homes for my customers, and every single one of them has been pleased with the experience and the finished product. That’s not something I say lightly. When people trust you with their land and their plans for a custom home, the builder has to deliver. Design Tech has done that time and again. I believe in their process and quality so much, I recommend my family to them and Design Tech has built homes for two of my sisters. I’m looking forward to seeing their work at Capital Creek Ranch and watching the next round of families settle into homes they’re proud of. Bear Prince Broker Land Consultant Capital Creek Ranch

At 80 years old, I never thought I’d be designing our retirement home using this fancy VR! My husband and I visited Design Tech Homes in The Woodlands and tried it for the first time. It was just wonderful walking through the rooms of our future home in Conroe before they’re even built. I enjoyed it so much that I had to come home and take a nice long nap afterwards. Our designer Karly was so kind and helpful. She made the whole thing feel easy and exciting. We’re really looking forward to construction starting. Highly recommend Design Tech Homes!

We just used Design Tech Homes to build our retirement/dream home. The experience could not have been any smoother from the tweaking of a plan we brought to them all the way to handing the keys over. I’ve heard horror stories from other people who have built homes but I reached out to dozens of folks that had worked with DTH and everyone of them were pleased with their home. From the folks in the office to the field construction coordinator, everyone was always professional, helpful and a joy to work with.

I had never tried anything like VR before. We visited Design Tech Homes in The Woodlands to design our retirement home in Conroe. My main goal was to make sure my wife got the home she really wanted. It was nice to see her walking through the rooms and already feeling right at home. Karly and the team did a great job bringing her vision to reality. We look forward to construction starting. Design Tech Homes is a solid choice.

We highly recommend our builder, Design Tech Homes, for building all types of residential homes! We have been enjoying our new custom home for two years now. Building a new home, especially a custom build, can be a difficult and stressful process. But DTH worked with us and helped us through the entire process, and after the home was built, they are still here to help us. They treat us (and all their customers) like good friends and family rather than just a builder and customer. They have all kinds of house plan styles that they have created and built over the years. Many of their customers will choose one of those and then work with DTH to adapt the plan to their needs. We had our own concept for our house and couldn’t find the right floor plan anywhere that fit our needs. We met with other builders, and they encouraged us to change our plan ideas – to build a house that we didn’t want. But, from our first meeting with DTH, they enthusiastically tackled our concept, and working together, the house we wanted was built! We were able to view it in 3-D, which was really fun. We are very happy with our house and our relationship with DTH. Don’t hesitate to see what they can do for you!

Finished my custom home in Nov 2025 and Gabe was amazing to work with. While building a customer can have challenging moments Gabe handles everything with ease. He was certainly a pleasure to work with.

We have worked with Design Tech Homes to create and now begin building our dream lake house. Everything is going so smoothly and we couldn’t be happier with the process thus far. However, the design created by Michael at Design Tech is the star of the show - it’s even better than we imagined it would be. He so perfectly captured the beauty of the surroundings and all of the many requests we had for our family. We cannot wait to enjoy the finished home!

DTH Team was one of the few builders that would work with us in the inner-city loop of Houston. From start to finish they were accommodating, great communication and always heard our concerns throughout all stages of our home building. From all the custom options they provided us and the friendly chatter we had with them, all I can say is thank you for building our vision of our first home! Some name drops Gabriel, Andrew, David, and Jeremy. I am missing some but the whole team at DTH are the people you want working on your homes.

Working with Design Tech Homes (DTH) was the best decision we could have made for our family and home. Almost 2 years after our home was completed, DTH continues to show up and honor their pledge “being family”. DTH came to help us after I had inquired “I know we are out of warranty but I need help with a few things and I’d happily pay for DTH’s help (knowing and trusting it would be done correctly)”. DTH scheduled a visit to our home from their own warranty team soon after. Not only did the team show up happy and eager, they walked the home with me to see if there were any additional items they could address while there. They completed my list and then some! No fee, no worry, no stress! What builder, 2 years later, happily comes to assist with your “to do list” and doesn't charge anything?

We really appreciate everyone's help and guidance during this process. My wife and I have enjoyed the process with very little questions. Our new home is coming together just like we imagined. The communication and weekly updates with photos have taken a lot of weight and stress off our shoulders. It's easy to feel like you are flying blind in the process when you live in another State like us. However, the DTH team makes us feel like we are actually onsite seeing the process. For that, we are extremely grateful and thankful.

Many things can be rated in the euphoria or anguish of the moment and not give an accurate picture. This is a retrospective review. I've had five years to think about this one. After all, building a home is a serious venture, especially when building one's forever home. Building a home, a custom home, a home that you helped design, is a trying effort for everyone and it is not easily completed. I'm glad that we chose Design Tech Homes to help us fulfill our goal of building on our own property, building our dream home. They are personable and professional in every way. When challenges arise, they meet and resolve them. They make suggestions to ensure that you will be pleased in the long run. Change orders, when needed, are handled with promptness and clarity (we only had two). Every day we are appreciative of the quality of workmanship put into our home -- inside and out. Couldn't be happier, and DTH made it happen. PS: I contacted them recently about the documentation for our fireplace. It was probably the only piece of documentation that I could not locate. True to form, DTH kindly researched and found the original purchase order and was able to give me the model number and emailed the manual to me. What more could one ask?!?!?!

They installed quartz countertop for my waterfall island. Beautiful work! Everything was done in a very timely And professional manner. I’m definitely using them again in the future.

Design Tech Homes always meets or exceeds industry standards with their homes. Every single home is ENERGY STAR® certified for comfort and energy savings. The most hailed energy efficiency program in the nation, ENERGY STAR is a voluntary national program developed by the U.S. Department of Energy. Design Tech Homes requires independent inspectors to evaluate each component of the home, such as windows, insulation, orientation, heating, air conditioning, and structural integrity.

Design Tech Homes was the best home builder to work with. Everything with DTH was collaborative and they explained the process from concept to the building of our home. DTH built our dream home and we’ve been extremely happy since moving in! We highly recommend DTH!

Design Tech Homes built me the home of my dreams!! I designed a Mid Century Modern look home and they understood what I wanted including the round AC vents!! I would build with Design Tech again!! Thank you to their team!!

Despite some difficulties with meeting the initial 90 day timeline during covid / survey errors and being charged 1% for delays we felt were beyond our control, the house DTH built for us is spectacular in design, quality and especially service after the sale. DTH has repeatedly demonstrated professionalism and a genuine desire to make things right. Thier architect really listened and designed exactly what we wanted - he is highly skilled at ensuring he drew what WE wanted and that we were happy with the house. Their designer gently guided us without imposing his own tastes. The build quality- especially the foundation and framing quality- was absolutely amazing> I almost wish guests could see the bones of the house without the sheetrock as evidence of the high quality of DTH. Nowhere did DTH need or try to cover sloppy work with caulk or paint like so many other builders around Houston. They built it right, square and plum so they didn't have to. Lastly, and in my opinion, most importantly, after the sale, DTH spent hours and hours making certain everything big or small was perfect. Thier manager was kind, responsive, professional, helpful and repeatedly went above and beyond to ensure we loved the house. DTH gave us a home we are very proud of.

Creative and unique home design according to Vastu

We had our home built seven years ago. We are so pleased with our home that we are thinking about moving to another area and having Design Tech build us another home like the one we have now.

Beautiful homes, well designed, and they have an efficient system start to finish. Price wise they are on the high side, but for a custom home with lots of standard upgrades it's not unreasonable.

Very good

Really cool place to get home design ideas, but also WAY too expensive. Unless you are actively looking to build, I wouldn't shell out the $20 per person entry fee.

I love the Model Home!! Is just like a dream!!

My husband and I spoke with the helpful and friendly staff and toured the model homes and had an excellent experience!
